It could also reduce crime since users could acquire it from regulated sources instead of illegal ones, and potentially provide additional tax revenue to benefit public programs.
Furthermore, legalizing marijuana would make it easier for researchers to investigate its effects and its potential applications, which could lead to new medical treatments with fewer unwanted symptoms.
